Phase 2 Workspace Expansion

A guided productivity workspace starts with instructional chat.

The chat layer should unify planning, focused work, memory, whiteboard work, and later presentation building. Mate-E assists the workspace, but it does not operate the workspace for you.

Understand A Concept

Use instructional chat as the main workspace layer for explanation, questioning, and next-step guidance.

Plan A Focus Block

Turn the workspace into a guided planning layer that sequences review, drafting, and reflection without taking actions for you.

Build From Notes Or Sources

Ask Mate-E to help structure notes, workspace sets, and upcoming explanations before whiteboard and presentation tools arrive.

Separate workspace section

Whiteboard + visual planning

This lives as its own workspace page so visual reasoning does not get collapsed into the flashcard builder.

Guided presentation builder

This also gets its own workspace page so presentation planning grows from workspace guidance and notes rather than from the flashcard flow.

Implementation order

  1. 1. Instructional chat first. It centralizes continuity and gives the rest of the workspace a natural interaction layer.
  2. 2. Whiteboard + visual planning second. This adds spatial cognition, diagramming, overlays, and concept mapping without handing control to the AI.
  3. 3. Guided presentation builder third. That should extend from notes, transcripts, summaries, and workspace threads into editable, human-authored slide construction.

Instructional Chat

This is the first workspace layer: persistent, context-aware guidance that carries continuity across workspace sets, progress, and future tools.

Next

Whiteboard + Visual Planning

Spatial reasoning, sketch cleanup, concept maps, diagram overlays, and visual explanations should extend the workspace without the AI operating it for the user.

After That

Guided Presentation Builder

Presentation support should grow from notes, transcripts, summaries, and workspace threads into editable outlines, slide flow, visuals, and speaker guidance.
